The nonprofit corporation, Scottish Rite Park, Incorporated, owns and operates this modern, twelve-story, 181 unit building. Although built in 1973, it competes with today's newer facilities. Based on cost per square foot comparisons, it is in many cases a more efficient investment. Most importantly, Scottish Rite Park is a full service retirement community offering all three levels of retirement living; Independent, Residential and Skilled Nursing with Medicare and Medicaid certification.

The two go hand-in-hand, if it is a great place to work it's even a better place to live! Scottish Rite Park has been named as one of the top workplaces in Iowa. The Des Moines Register partnered with Workplace Dynamics, a national third party research firm across the United States, met the criteria with input from employees to meet and exceed the qualifications from six different catagories in order to qualify for nomination status. Areas addressed were:
- Assessment of the company's values, leaders and strategy
- Assessment of how the company communicates and gets work done
- Opportunity for training and progression
- Assessment of the working atmosphere and working environment
- Quality of the managers and their managerial skills
- Assessment of employee compensation for the work done
